Cedar Rapids Chiropractic · Dr. Haden Hammel, DC
Precise, advanced chiropractic that treats the root cause - for your back, neck, and nearly any joint - so you can move, sleep, and get back to the life you love. No drugs, no needles, no surgery.
Why the pain keeps coming back
You feel better for a day or two, then the same pain returns - because the underlying cause was never fixed.
Standard adjustments, the same routine, no real plan built for your specific problem.
Different adjustments, better results
Techniques developed and refined treating pro and Olympic athletes.
Shoulders, knees, elbows, ankles, hips and more - not just backs and necks.
Pay the same as everyone else, and get more.
Finding and fixing the root cause
For example, sciatica pain that radiates down the leg usually comes from a pinched nerve in the spine.
Ibuprofen dulls the inflammation for a while, but the pinched nerve - the real issue - is still there.
We relieve the pressure on the nerve so you get relief that actually lasts.

Full Spectrum of Care
Our philosophy is simple: provide the right treatment, at the right time, for the right patient. Whether your condition requires a simple adjustment or a combination of advanced therapies, you can trust that we'll recommend only the care you truly need -- nothing more, nothing less.
Precise, advanced adjusting developed treating pro and Olympic athletes - the foundation of care for everyday strains, stiffness, and joint pain. Priced like a standard clinic.
Not every injury requires the latest technology. Many patients achieve excellent results with our foundational therapies which help relieve sore muscles, calm inflammation, and improve mobility.
For more complex injuries or chronic pain, High-Intensity Laser Therapy and Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy work at the cellular and tissue level to reduce pain and accelerate healing.
Your first visit
First, you will meet with a doctor so we can learn about you, your condition, and your goals. We will answer your questions and determine if you could benefit from our care. This consultation is done at no charge - it is up to you if you move to step 2.
Next, the doctor will review your health history and perform a complete chiropractic examination, including orthopedic, postural, physical, and neurological tests.
X-rays are not required of all new patients and are not included in the exam & health history. If you have x-rays or MRI reports that are less than 6-12 months old, we encourage you to bring them along. If you need new x-rays, we make them affordable.
The doctor will review his findings, discuss your care plan, outline the expected cost of care, and answer any additional questions. You will typically receive an adjustment during this first visit - adjustments are $50. If other therapies are recommended, all costs will be explained up front.

We see patients for a wide range of concerns, including back and neck discomfort; pain in joints like the knees, hips, and shoulders; sports and lifestyle-related injuries; long-term pain when other treatments haven't worked; and stiffness, mobility loss, and recurring muscle tension.
Yes. For most people, the care needed involves only chiropractic adjustments or entry-level therapies, which are priced in line with traditional clinics. More advanced therapies - such as shockwave or high-intensity laser therapy - are generally reserved for more complex chronic cases, not everyday visits.
No. When we first opened, we focused primarily on chronic pain patients, but we have since expanded our services. Today we treat both minor and major issues - occasional soreness, an injury, or persistent pain. We call this our Full Spectrum of Care approach: smaller issues get smaller solutions, while more complex problems get a more advanced plan.
Our doctors use specialized adjusting methods that were first created while caring for professional athletes, including football players and Olympians. These techniques go beyond what's taught in chiropractic schools and were developed to address issues that standard care couldn't resolve. Today, we bring that same advanced approach to every patient.
One of the biggest misconceptions about chiropractic care is that adjustments are painful. The reality is that most patients describe them as quick, gentle, and relieving. We always explain what we're doing before treatment and adjust our techniques based on your comfort level. Whether you're young or old, athletic or recovering from an injury, we'll use the technique that's most appropriate for your body.
It depends on your condition. Some issues resolve quickly, while others need a series of visits. After your exam, the doctor reviews his findings and explains your full care plan - and the cost - before any treatment begins.
No. Our drug-free, non-invasive care lets you continue your normal daily activities. Some patients feel mild soreness as mobility is restored, but it shouldn't require any downtime.
We help with back and neck pain; joint pain in the knees, hips, shoulders, elbows, and ankles; sciatica; arthritis and degenerative joint issues; sports and work-related injuries; muscle tightness and stiffness; and long-term pain when other treatments haven't worked.
